Rebbetin Riddle Says...

Do you know the story of Purim?
  The Talmud Teaches us!Do You Know the 10 Plagues?  

  1. King Achashverosh throws a big party, gets drunk and has Queen Vashti killed. His advisors tell him to find a new queen by:

    1. advertising in the NY Daily News
    2. sending spies to find pretty girls
    3. hiring a matchmaker.

  2. When Haman leaves the King's palace, everyone except Mordechai bows down. To punish Mordechai, Haman decides to:

    1. step on his toes
    2. make him listen to Heavy Metal music
    3. kill all the Jews.

  3. Esther is taken into the palace and given perfumes and cosmetics to look pretty. After meeting her, the King decides to:

    1. crown her Queen
    2. pay for her beauty treatments
    3. shoot pool with the boys in the 'hood.

  4. Haman makes a lottery to pick the best month and day to kill the Jews. It comes out on the 13th of Adar. Haman's happy because that's:

    1. his birthday
    2. the month that Moses died
    3. the start of spring training.

  5. Meanwhile, two no-goodniks, Bigsan and Seresh, plot to kill the King. Mordechai reports the plot to Esther and the King's life is saved. In gratitude, the King:

    1. put him in the Book of Records
    2. forgets to reward him
    3. A & B

  6. Haman gets permission from the King to have the Jews killed. When Mordechai learns about Haman's plans, he orders the Jews to:

    1. fast and pray
    2. flee to Cuba
    3. write their Congressman.

  7. One night, the King can't sleep, so he asks that the Book of Records be read. There he learns that:

    1. Andy Statman made the Top Ten
    2. the Yankees won the 1927 World Series
    3. he forgot to reward Mordechai.

  8. Haman has a special gallows built to hang Mordechai. But when he asks for the King's permission, the King orders Haman to:

    1. take out a building permit
    2. put up a basketball net
    3. lead Mordechai around the city on the King's horse.

  9. Mordechai asks Queen Esther to plead with King Achashverosh. She fasts, then asks the King and Haman to come to two dinners. At the second dinner, she:

    1. serves pizza
    2. begs the King to save her people
    3. talks about hockey.

  10. The King orders Haman hanged on the gallows he prepared for Mordechai. Esther gets permission for the Jews to defend themselves, and they defeat their enemies. Every year, we celebrate by:

    1. reading the Megillah and having a festive meal
    2. giving charity and exchanging presents of food
    3. A & B
