Pardon Me! | |||
|
In this week's Torah Portion Vayigash, Joseph forgives his brothers for selling him into slavery. If Joseph could pardon his brothers for this, how much more should we be able to forgive others for the wrongs they have done to us!
- The Baal Shem Tov taught that when we judge others harshly, so are we judged in Heaven. But when we forgive others, so are we forgiven!
- Yom Kippur only atones for misdeeds that man did before G-d. To make up for misdeeds that one did to another, you have to ask that person's forgiveness!
- Moshe's brother, Aaron, often helped people forgive each other. When two men argued, he would say to one, "So- and - so wants to stop fighting. But he's ashamed to say he's sorry." He then would say the same thing to the other. When the two men met, they would become good friends once more!
Rabbi Riddle's Kwazy Kwestions:
- Forgiveness is one of the traits of G-d. Where else will you always find forgiveness?
- In the dictionary!
