Volume 1, No. 31Welcome to the World of Rabbi Riddle.
Rabbi Riddle Says...

Learning is Good!
Give Peace A ChanceString along with me!
In this week's Torah Portion, G-d commands Aaron the Kohain to light the menorah in the Mishkan (Tabernacle). Our Sages compare Torah to light. Kindling the menorah helped make the world spiritually bright with the light of Torah! We do the same every time

  • Torah means "instruction." Everything in Torah teaches us a lesson.

  • It's a mitzvah to teach others Torah. Rabbi Pereda reviewed one lesson with a student 400 times!

  • Torah is weighed against all the mitzvos, because learning leads to doing.

  • As soon as a baby can talk, we teach him this verse, "Torah Tziva Lanu Moshe Morasha Kehillas Yaakov." "The Torah that Moshe commanded us is the heritage of the congregation of Jacob."
