Volume 1, No. 3Welcome to the World of Rabbi Riddle.
Rabbi Riddle Says...
National Committee for Furtherance of Jewish Education

The End Is Near! And So Is The Beginning!
Gimme Shelter! Sukkot Is The Time When We Dwell In Booths!Loose lips Sink swift ships!
TODAY is Hoshana Rabba. During the morning prayers, we follow a custom of the ancient prophets of Israel. We circle the bima (reading table) 7 times, saying prayers, and then we take a bundle of 5 willow branches, and strike them 5 times on the floor, asking HaShem to judge His world with mercy.

  • THURSDAY is Shemini Atzeres. It's the end of Sukkos. On this day, we ask HaShem for rain in Israel. FRIDAY is Simchas Torah! We dance with the Torah, then we read the last section (Parsha) in the Torah and, right away, begin it again!

Rabbi Riddle's Kwazy Kwestions:
  1. What nail should you never hit with a hammer?
  1. Your fingernail!
